The past couple of years has seen a change in the way people grieve, with covid restrictions placing a greater emphasis on virtual resources.
Funeral Notices are offering a free service for people to remember their loved ones virtually this Christmas.
The Christmas Memorial Wall occupies a prime spot on funeral-notices.co.uk and provides an opportunity for people to place a 'bauble' on a virtual Christmas memorial.
The platform has been created in collaboration with
Ancestry.co.uk, the UK's favourite family history website, and is available for everyone to use for free throughout the Christmas period.
Darren Minns, Commercial Director for Funeral Notices said: "Creating a special place for our audience to remember their loved ones at Christmas has been a priority for us.
"Due to the pandemic, many people were unable to give their loved one the send off they deserved, relying instead on online resources like ours to share their memories, express condolences and deliver important messages about funeral arrangements to their communities. It's important to us that we continue to support communities through the upcoming festive period.
"Family and community are at the heart of everything we do, which is why we are partnering with family history experts Ancestry.co.uk to provide the Christmas Memorial Wall. Friends and families of loved ones will be able to visit the memorial page whenever and wherever they choose and can add unlimited tributes, photographs and baubles to our virtual Christmas Memorial."
Adding your own tribute is easy. Simply head over to
funeral-notices/christmas21 and click 'Leave tribute now' on the left hand side.
The Memorial Wall allows you to add unlimited tributes and photos and add Christmas baubles and candles in memory of your loved ones.
Our Christmas Memorial Wall will be available on funeral-notices.co.uk from December 1st to January 4th, 2022, and will provide a safe space online for anyone wishing to remember a loved one this Christmas.
