The player everyone wanted in their team, small in stature but a giant of a man on the pitch and off it, heart of a lion a true warrior in every sense. You will be badly missed rob may you rest in peace. God bless you

What a superstar ! Not only in your Rugby career but in your grit and determination to try and beat the terrible disease , you might have been small in stature but crikey you were a giant in life . You were a credit to the great game and your family have every right to be proud . Rest easy Rob

You were small in stature, but a giant of a man. I have watched you play rugby from day one, such a pocket rocket and so skillful. Thank you for all the memories, the joy and the tears. You have shown strength and dignity throughout your fight with MND, just as you did on the pitch. My thoughts go out to all your family and friends at this sad time. RIP now.

Thank you Rob for all the memories. Me and my late dad used to come and watch you play. It was our thing. I'll have a pint for you in the Original Oak very soon. God bless and I am glad you are now out of the body that let you down. Horrific disease. You were and will always be an inspiration to many. Legend doesn't even begin to cover it.

Rob, you have faced this devastating disease with courage and dignity. Your children have a hero they call dad....what a legacy to leave them. The platform you have given MND will live on and we will find a successful treatment and even a cure, and it will be in your name. Rest in peace Rob, your star will always shine brightly.

Very sad news to hear about his passing. How he,Lyndsey and his best friend Kevin Sinfield approached his MND diagnosis was incredible. I will never forget the image of Kevin lifting Rob out of his wheelchair and carrying him over the finishing line. The money they have raised towards the new MND centre to be built at Seacroft hospital is astonishing. He always seemed to have a smile on his face. I am sure they were difficult times but the way,Rob,Lyndsey and his young family dealt with it was inspiring. Rest In Peace Rob you will be missed.
