Meet the Team - Contact Centre Advisor

The latest in our Meet the Team series sees us sit down with Customer Advisor Dorothy Hermann.

As part of Reach Plc, funeral-notices.co.uk have been publishing notices in local newspapers for over 100 years. Dorothy Hermann has been part of the team for more than 18 years. Dorothy currently works on the Funeral Notices team. Prior to this role Dorothy was part of a team working in the reception of the Hull Daily Mail office in Hull city centre, joining the Funeral Notices team in 2019.

Outside of work Dorothy loves gardening, animals and being outdoors.

Dorothy enjoys working as part of the Funeral Notices team. The team are responsible for communicating with Funeral Directors, helping them to book notices to be published in their local newspaper and online on funeral-notices.co.uk. Some Funeral Directors call or email us with their notice requests while others prefer to book their own notices directly using our self-serve booking portal. Dorothy and the team support all Funeral Directors to ensure their notices appear as requested by the family. The team also check every notice we receive prior to publishing - all the while working to strict deadlines and maintaining their reputation of providing excellent customer service.

Dorothy says the best part of her job is interacting with Funeral Directors and working closely with the rest of her team, she describes the team as being very professional:
