Welcome to our 'Meet the Team' blog series. It's always nice to know who you're speaking with and who is who behind the scenes of a website or business. The team behind funeral-notices.co.uk consists of Account Managers, Customer Service Advisors, Team Managers and Trainers - most of whom report to Contact Centre Director and Director of Funeral Notices, Darren Minns.
To kick off our series, we would like to introduce one of our Account Managers, Funeral Directors Relationship Manager Rob Stebbing.
Funeral Notices is the number one site across the UK for funeral notices. It publishes hundreds of notices every day and has more than 100 years of experience announcing the passing of the UK's loved ones in newspapers and online.
Funeral Notices is part of Reach plc, the UK's largest news publisher that's home to more than 150 trusted national and regional news brands.
Rob has worked for Reach Plc for 25 years - beginning as a photographer for Hull Daily Mail. He worked his way up to the role of Picture Editor before joining the Funeral Notices team as Funeral Directors Relationship Manager.
Rob is a huge fan of motor racing, golf, snooker, cycling and loves to spend time with his family.
"Looking after 350 Funeral Director accounts, and 160 Preferred Partners".
Over 2140 Funeral Directors use funeral-notices.co.uk to announce the passing of the loved ones of families all over the UK. A Preferred Partner is a Funeral Director who chooses us to provide funeral notices on their own website.
"Visiting and talking with all our Funeral Directors, and signing up new Preferred Partners".
Initially Rob spent his entire working week on the road, visiting Funeral Directors all over the UK in their funeral homes/offices. Like so many others, during the pandemic Rob had to adapt his role to work from home so looked after his Funeral Directors over the telephone. By continuing to make contact with Funeral Directors during this period we were able to support them, keeping them updated whilst many of their processes switched to online.
In recent months Rob has been spending two days a week on the road, three days working from home on the telephone. Still a fan of the face to face approach, Rob offers video calls to Funeral Directors too.
"It's a great place to share memories and leave tributes for your loved one".
Every notice becomes an everlasting tribute page as soon as it is published on funeral-notices.co.uk, offering friends and family a place to add unlimited tributes, photographs and light virtual candles.
"Increase their brand awareness in their local community".
Funeral notices has a huge audience for notices, which is why many people return each day to read the notices that matter to them. This helps Funeral Directors reach into the heart of their local community.
"The number 1 site in the UK!"
Funeral-notices.co.uk will have a stall at the National Funeral Exhibition in June - something Rob is very much looking forward to attending. The exhibition is an opportunity to connect with Funeral Directors and others in the industry. If you're in the industry, why not pop along and say hello?
