Throughout the coming weeks the funeral notices pages of your local newspaper are going to look slightly different.
We are introducing one flexible style notice to all of our newspapers across the UK. The change will happen gradually over the coming weeks and for a time there will be a crossover of our current style announcements and the new style.
Please bear with us over this period, we are confident once the process is complete that you, our audience and readers, will recognise the benefits of the change.
One of our key principles is our commitment to offering excellent value to families. Introducing a flexible style notice helps us honour the traditional newspaper announcement; bringing the design and style of the notice up-to-date whilst maintaining our high standards of value and customer service in the process.
Having all of our notices in a double column box will improve the look of the funeral notices pages in print, moving away from the mixture of styles we currently offer.
The funeral notices pages in local newspapers will be easier to read with enough space in each notice for all the essential information you need to know.
The new style notice will make it easier for families to make their announcement, giving them one flexible style for newspaper notices. All newspaper notices also appear online at funeral-notices.co.uk
Families will still have the option to announce the passing of a loved one to our online audience only, with these notices costing one fixed price of £36.
A small selection of the symbols available on the new notices
The new flexible style notice will be in a double column box as standard, doubling the width of current notices in the majority of our newspapers.
Each notice will come with the option to personalise with a photograph and a border or symbol, making the notices more meaningful to the families whilst acting as a fitting tribute to their loved ones.
The new flexible style notice offers more than 100 symbols and borders to choose from. The categories include flowers, football teams, sports, hobbies, candles, pets and the great outdoors.
The symbols and borders will help capture the essence of loved ones, giving their notice a personal touch.
The new style will also be available on Memoriam Notices and Acknowledgement Notices, replacing the current styles.
We are proud of our history and experience supporting families to announce the passing of their loved ones. We look forward to introducing you to the new Funeral Notices pages of your local newspaper and thank you for your continued support.
Thank you for reading.
