On Friday December 10th, everyone wears festive jumpers and sponsors each jumper worn by a team member or friend.
For one Friday in December since 2012, people have dressed up in their eye-catching jumpers and donated £2 to Save the Children to help make Christmas magical for children around the world.
The Save the Children Fund, commonly known as Save the Children, was established in the United Kingdom in 1919 to improve the lives of children through better education, health care, and economic opportunities, as well as providing emergency aid in natural disasters, war, and other conflicts. Visit their website to see the outstanding ways they help children:
www.savethechildren.org.uk You can buy Christmas jumpers in most clothes shops and supermarkets around the festival time as well as online. Primark is known for good, funny and even light up ones that aren’t too pricey. Home Bargains even have their own branded Christmas jumper!
What other ways can I help raise money?
Bake sales always go down a treat for raising money which are perfect for school and offices. If you’re feeling crafty a popular idea is to create a Christmas jumper and people vote by donating to their favourite one. If you work from home a fun idea is every person who forgets to unmute themselves on video meetings needs to donate! Another great way to raise money is by having a quiz and every person who wants to take part can make a contribution.
