While browsing the
Most Read This Month section here on funeral-notices.co.uk, I came across a notice for
Karren Bolger that has had over 5,000 visitors and has a collection of over £1,600 raised for the Lindsey Lodge Hospice in her memory. When I see such a great collection being raised it makes me wonder what the charity does and where the money will be going, so I thought I would share a little about the hospice in this month's charity spotlight blog.
Lindsey Lodge Hospice is an independent charity that provides specialist palliative care for day patients and inpatients alike, as well as care for adults with life limiting illnesses. They provide quite a vast array of services for the patient, but also bereavement and support services for the family.
Who better to tell you all about Lindsey Lodge Hospice than the staff who work there? Here’s a short video to tell you more about who they are and what they do:
If you happen to be nearby, then why not pop in to Lindsey's Meet & Eat, a cafe located at Lindsey Lodge which is open seven days a week. They also have a gift shop on site, so if you pop in and spend some money then you will be directly helping with their running costs. They also run a charity lottery, as well as several great shops and an ebay store.
Of course, one of the best ways to support the charity is to donate in memory of a loved one, much like how the friends and family of Karren Bolger did.
If you are struggling to know which charity to choose to do a collection for, then take a look at a previous blog on the subject:
