The Martins Funeral Directors is an independent, family owned and managed company and with the experience gained over the years has much to offer the local community in their time of bereavement.
In November 2017 the founders, Peter and Jenny Martin, made the very difficult decision to retire after 50 years of serving the local community. Under new ownership The Martins Funeral Directors will continue to provide the personal and professional service for which they are renowned, with the emphasis being on personal service and care. The team devote themselves to giving the local community professional help and support at all times, either in the client’s home or at their funeral home.
The new proprietor is Alex Jones. Having spent his late teens working in care of the elderly, and also for an independent funeral director in Edenbridge, Alex wanted to create a dignified personal funeral directors at a time when many of the small companies had been taken over by huge multinational groups.
Alex Jones Funeral Directors was opened in 1996 and is a truly independent family run funeral directors with over 22 years of experience.
- Arrange to provide floral tributes on your behalf and to receive floral tributes from other florists.
- Arrange for order of service sheets should you require them.
- Provide a floral book with the floral cards mounted within.
- Receive list and distribute charitable donations.
- Provide Condolence Books for mourners to complete.
- Care for cremated remains until burial.
