Daniel JosephEGANof Howarth Drive, Stacksteads died peacefully at home on Sunday, December 22, aged 64. A service will be held at the Chapel of Rest on Friday, January 3 at 9.15am followed by cremation at Burnley at 10am conducted by Mr Peter Goulding. Born in Bacup where he lived all of his life, he was employed by Cloverbrook firstly at Broadclough Mill, Bacup, then Rosegrove, Burnley, retiring through ill health 12 years ago. Daniel enjoyed racing his pigeons, looking after his hen pen, holidays in Blackpool and walking, but mainly being surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his wife of 43 years, Pauline, son John, daughter Anne and her husband Steven, grandchildren Lindsay, Harry, Rebecca, Tyrone, Demi and Mia-Rose, three great-grandchildren, sister Christine and Catherine, nephews, nieces and many friends. The family wish to express their heartfelt thanks to the palliative care team and district nurses. Family flowers only with donations in lieu to Rossendale Responsible Animal Rescue if desired.
