The obituary notice of Jennifer BALDWIN (Wallen)

Jen. My dearest friend for what seems like forever. So many happy times and fond memories of our days in the office decades ago. I’ll always remember you putting out a fire in the bin with a bottle of lemonade and can hear you saying ‘oh mam’ and ‘piggit’ in your unique Welsh accent when things didn’t go quite right. I fondly recall the laughter when you put a fake call through to one of the partners and our sides splitting at the ensuing hilarity. Remembering you in various fancy dress outfits at the office quizzes over the years. Somebody from whom I learned the value of hard work as part of a team. You always looked after others before yourself.
A friend is someone who knows you, and loves you just the same, foibles and all. I am so grateful we had such a wonderful friendship. You asked for so little yet gave so very much.
Rest peacefully my friend. Your warmth, kindness and gentle spirit will be remembered forever.

I've known Jenny for a long time. She will always be remembered for her kindness, her positive attitude and no nonsense approach. And her wonderful pickled onions at Christmas were really something to look forward to! Jen generously made lots of jars to give away every year. She always said she only did onions for special people and I feel privileged to have been included. Rest in peace, Jen x
