Doreen PamelaZIELSTRAApril 20, 1933 - July 23, 2023 Of Shelton, Stoke-on-Trent, passed away at her home in San Diego, California, USA on July 23, 2023. Pam was born to Rose and Reginald Joynson and one of six children. At 23 she went to visit her sister Jean, who had married and settled in Iowa, where she met Raymond Allen Zielstra, her sister's brother-in-law, who was home on leave from the Navy. Pam and Raymond married in Honolulu on February 9, 1957 and then settled in San Diego where they raised their two children. Pam became a sales associate selling fine dining ware at a major department store, and her experience as a freehand paintress in the Potteries and her authentic interest in people made her a success at this job. Later she worked in schools as a teacher's assistant for many years and was encouraged to train as a teacher. Pam's warmth, kindness and intelligence and her caring and loving ways, will be missed and remembered by many. She is survived by her daughter, Julie Zielstra and son, Philip Zielstra, and her grandchildren, nieces and nephews in both England and the USA.
