Jill VeronicaWRIGHTNée Treglown Died suddenly at home after one last visit with her chickens on 11th December 2024 aged 93 years. She will be sadly missed by her family.

Jill's funeral service is to be held at Rushcliffe Oaks Crematorium on Wednesday 8th January at 2:30pm.

Family flowers only please; donations if desired and cheques made payable to RNLI, a donation box will be available on the day, otherwise may be sent via

Many happy memories of family visits to Brooke House, zooming along the Swithland roads in her Mini, managing mass catering with apparent ease. And Jill's fantastic singing voice as part of amazing operatic productions. We all remember she never wanted to be called "Auntie" Jill because it sounded much too old!
