Mr Wilson was one of the most compassionate and caring people, we were lucky to have had him as our teacher. He cared about the planet, nature and the people in it, about right and wrong and injustices all over the world. We all knew him as “the storyteller” but perhaps that did him a slight injustice, as his “stories” were not just stories, they were truths and experiences of the very interesting life he’d led, they were a way of teaching us far more than art, but about seeing a broader view of the world and understanding a bit about the way people are, good and bad. As I say, we were lucky to have known him and had the chance to hear (some of) his many tales.
