JoanWHITTLEof Grasmere Road, Haslingden, died on Thursday, January 23, at the Royal Blackburn Hospital, aged 86. Wife of the late Harry, who died 13 days before her, she leaves her son David, daughter-in-law Mary, grandchildren Matthew, Laura, Sally, Jonathan and Leigh, great-grandchildren Jade, Charlotte, Poppy and Harriet and great, great-grandchild Hadley. Joan was a baker by profession, but later worked for the Civil Service, and latterly as a wife and mother. The funeral took place on Tuesday, February 4, with service and cremation at Accrington Crematorium, officiated by Neil Overton.
