Richard DavidWHITAKER(Consett) late of Forest Hall and Gosforth. Suddenly on 30th December aged 73 years, Richard (Dick), devoted husband of Sue, deeply loved dad of Carlie and Richard, devoted grampy of Lily, Rosie, Jackson and Sofia.

Friends Please meet for service at Mountsett Crematorium on Thursday 23rd January at 1.15pm.

Dear Sue, What a terrible shock for you and Carlie and Richard! I still can't believe it. I'm so sad. You and I were 16 I think when we met Dick along with Mick. I would have liked to have been there today to pay my last respects to a truly lovely man. Not only expensive flights but circumstances here in Holland made it really difficult. You have been in my thoughts all day. I know for sure you did Dick proud with many old friends and family today. My condolences on this great loss. Hopefully I can come over soon and we can reminisce about the good old days. Take care and big hug. Love Brenda
