Philip HaworthWHELANformerly of Lumb, Rossendale, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 12, at home with family, aged 71. He started working life as a plumber for Alan Hoyle, then had various jobs within the building trade, then drove for Gordon Bosworth and J.F. Riley and later County Limes and County Crops before becoming the Company Director until retirement. He enjoyed tinkering with cars and helping many friends with various projects. He leaves his dear wife of 44 years Ida, daughters Angela and husband Darren, Sandra and fiancé Steven, Sharon and partner Peter, Lisa and beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also leaves brother Stephen, sister Pat and their families, and sister-in-law Margaret and partner. A funeral took place on Monday, January 27, with a service at James Street Chapel of Rest followed by private interment at St Michael's, Lumb. Donations, if desired, requested to Kabuki UK.
