Shirley PatriciaWARDIt is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of my mother Shirley who died on 13th January aged 90 years, just a few months after the death of her beloved husband Tony.

Shirley trained as a doctor at Charing Cross Hospital in the 1950's and worked as a Consultant Histopathologist in Wolverhampton until her retirement. Despite her Welsh roots Shirley lived in Stafford all her life and loved her walks on Cannock Chase and around Blithfield reservoir with Tony. Always cheerful she approached the challenges of dementia with good humour.

Shirley leaves her daughter Patricia and grandsons William and Nicholas.

Shirley's funeral will take place on Friday 7th February at 1.30pm, Stafford Crematorium.

Family flowers only. Donations to the Alzheimer's Society.

I will always remember you! Trish was my AB buddy from my first day. I was in awe of you doing such a fascinating job. I became a nurse. I wonder Shirley was it you who inspired me all those years ago. RIP with your husband. Helen 🫶
