MickWAPLINGTONPassed away peacefully Sunday 22nd December 2024, aged 76 years, after soldiering on through a long-term illness. Much loved dad of Michelle, Jason, Diane, Mark and Katrina, grandad to Courteney, Connor, Kacie, Ethan and Leon, and Millie and Lottie. Funeral service will be held at Trent Valley Crematorium on Monday 13th January 2025 at 10.30am. Donations in lieu of flowers to Nightingale Macmillan Unit, Derby and Burton Hospital Charity Fund 14001 may be left at the service, online or sent care of A. W. Lymn

I knew Mick for over 15 yrs as he came in to my work every single day. Always had a smile on his face and would cheer me up even when he wasen't feeling the best himself. Ive done my job nearly 30 yrs and he was and always will be my most favourite customer ever. I'll never forget you Mick rest in peace my friend. 😪

I knew of Mick from coming into my work. He was a gentleman inside and out, a real gentle soul. Always had a smile on his face no matter what struggles he was experiencing. RIP Mick 🙏

So sorry to hear of your loss, Mick was a frequent visitor to our shop in town and I have been asking for him for weeks. Such sad news, he was a very strong man and fought until the end, I will miss him dearly.
