Roberta GWALKER(Whickham) Peacefully in hospital after a short illness on 28th January 2022 aged 94 years, Berta (MBE). Dearly loved wife of the late Eric, much loved mam of John and Alan, dear mother-in-law of Val and an adored grandma of Louise, Michael, Ross and Elinor also a loving great grandma of Sophia, Zowie and Summer and a dearest aunt. Family and friends please meet for Service at St. Mary the Virgin Parish Church, Whickham on Friday 11th February at 10.15am. Cremation to follow at Saltwell Crematorium at 11.15am. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu if desired to Alzheimer's Research UK for which a donation box will be provided at church, crematorium and reception. All welcome afterwards at The Gibside Hotel. Many thanks to all staff of Ward 1 and Ward 11, Queen Elizabeth Hospital for their care and compassion.
