Colin taught me English at Grangemouth High School 1986/87. He was a very kind and supportive person who I respected greatly. He was someone you could depend on. Due to Autism I struggled at that time (although no diagnosis at that point) I believe he noticed my issues very clearly and was incredibly supportive and encouraged me to push to succeed.

He is someone I have always remembered and was recently spoken about to a friend of mine, who was also a former pupil.

A much loved and respected man.

I am so shocked to learn of the death of Colin. I had the pleasure of meeting him through Jamie Nicol, Alison Somerville , Lorna Welsh , Fiona Ritchie , Ishbel Nicholson , Philip Weir , Katrina Ellis and Alex Bell to name but a few who all came from Bridge of Allan Primary to the newly opened Wallace High School . We were all great pals and were in the school choir together. Colin was a real gentle person and always had a kind word for everyone ! He adored his little sister too and was always very protective towards her. Such a sad loss. Sending my sincere condolences to all his family . Jessie-Anne Malcolm (MacDonald)

Hi Colin and I were great friends at Primary School and into Secondary School both being the first to attend Wallace high School for its first year. I am very pleased to see such great tributes to Colin as we had not been in touch for a long time. I was very sad to hear of Colin's passing hopefully Sheena and her Dad will remember me. I now live in England with my wife of 39 years 2 kids and 5 Grandkids.
Love to you all so sorry to hear of your loss,
Jamie Nicoll

I had the pleasure of knowing Colin when he joined my English department at Grangemouth High School and found him a valued addition to the staff. Sadly, we drifted apart after he moved on and lost touch. I'll remember Colin for his good humour and sharp mind.
