WilliamVICKERSIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William Thomas Vickers (Bill), aged 79, on 9th January 2025. Bill, of George Street, Great Harwood, passed away peacefully at Royal Blackburn Hospital.
Bill was a beloved Husband, Dad, Step-dad, Grandad, Great Grandad, Brother, Brother-in-law, Uncle and a great friend to so many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, remembered not only for his warmth, generosity, and adventurous spirit but also for his incredible sense of humour and the joy he brought to every room.
His funeral service will be held at 1.30pm, on Friday 24th January 2025, at St Bartholomew's Church, Great Harwood, prior to committal at Accrington Crematorium, followed by the wake at 1B tap Great Harwood, where we will celebrate Bill's life and the many wonderful memories he leaves behind.
Rest in peace, Bill. Your adventurous spirit, love for music, and the laughter you shared with all will never be forgotten.
