Patrick JosephTYDINGSPatrick ('Pa', 'Pa-Joe', 'Paddy', 'Tony') Tydings sadly passed away at his home on May 24th 2023 after a marathon fight and life journey, in his eighty seventh year. Devoted husband, father, grandfather and athlete, Patrick was an amazing man from Limerick, Ireland. He spent most of his life in Birmingham with his beloved wife Jean, surrounded by his children Anthony, Deborah, Gary, Jennifer and Robert, his grandchildren Ella, Fran, Alex, Jason and Francesco, great grandchildren Beau and Rudy as well as his extended family and friends. Patrick always wanted the best for his family and encouraged them to be the best people they could be. Filled with love of life and spirit he was a great athlete and marathon runner for decades, remembered for his long training runs up to his beloved Weatheroak, staying fit in the gym, as well as being part of the Rowheath Harriers Club at Bournville. He travelled the country participating in races which was an antidote to his indoor working life at Jaguar Castle Bromwich. An avid sportsman and sports fan, his enthusiasm, encouragement and mentoring touched many lives in many ways. A man with a big heart and big love. Patrick's passing has left an enormous gap. He will be missed so very much, especially by Jean his wife of 63 years. So much love for him, he will never be forgotten. After his final years of ill health, may he now rest in peace. June 26th 5pm, Patrick received into St Edward's R.C. Church, Selly Park. June 27th 11am, Requiem Mass at St Edwards R.C. Church, Selly Park. Burial at Kings Norton Cemetery commencing 12:30pm. Resting at Ambler Brothers Funeral Directors, Moseley.
