CliffordTRICKETTMr Clifford Thomas Trickett, of Burnley, formerly of Bacup, died in Blackpool Victoria Hospital on Monday, August 15, aged 78. Born in Bacup where he lived until 40 years ago, when he moved to Burnley and lived there for the rest of his life. He was a former miner at Deerplay Colliery, Bacup until its closure, moving on to work in the construction industry labouring on building sites. Clifford loved his caravan at Rawcliffe Hall, Outer Rawcliffe and in his younger days played football for many local football teams, and was a supporter of Burnley Football Club. He leaves his wife of 53 years Ann, daughters Lorraine and her husband Tommy, Gillian and her husband Alec, son Stephen, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many friends. A short service will be held in the Chapel of Rest at 1.10pm on Tuesday, August 30, followed by cremation at Burnley Crematorium at 1.45pm, conducted by Father Chris McGrane.
