RogerTRELEASEDad 14th October 1947- 4th October 1998 (52yrs) and Mum 28th May 1956- 16th August 1998 (42yrs) I lie awake at night when the world is asleep, I take a walk down memory lane, With tears upon my cheek, No one sees the broken heart That lies beyond the smile, No one knows the loneliness, That's with me all the while. Days go by without you, Months turn into years, They hold a lifetime of memories And many silent tears. God took you from me suddenly, I often wonder why, You left me in the morning, You never said goodbye, But with me you will always stay, Till we reunite in Heaven one day. I speak your name with love and pride, We didn't always see eye to eye, But you left a place no-one could fill, Ten years on I miss you still. 'No matter if the sun don't shine Or if the skies are blue No matter what the end is My life began with you' Vicky xxx

Dear family and friends of Mr. Trelease, I didn't know Mr. Trelease, but 35 years after the video was made I have just watched 'Reflections of Cornwall - 1989 - 1990' on Youtube. The narrator had the most wonderful Cornish accent and the scenery and information was of the best standard. What a sad loss to the world this talented man must be. With grateful thanks, Linda from Cheshire, UK.

I have fond memories of Roger as a friend and work colleague dating back to 1984 a significant amount of that time was spent together on the Shell Tern A platform. The offshore work force community is unique and close bonds are formed working and living together for weeks at a time.

I had never met Roger's family and he never met mine but we each knew a lot about the respective families we would share experiences that had occurred during the periods of leave. Roger often spoke of his wife and daughter Vicky I would be amazed at how each month he would drive from Cornwall to Aberdeen and back again, this was more than twice the 340 miles distance I would commute.

He was kind and thoughtful and would become passionate about any new project he may take on at work or at home. I remember his love of Cornwall and how he would make tourism videos for sale in the area.

So more than 10 years after Roger's tragic death I do occasionally take time out to think about the times we shared, such a sad loss.
