Heartfelt thoughts and sympathies to all Neville and Roger's families.

My Mum died recently (2024) in Stoke University Hospital Heart Unit.

I have inherited Mum's piano which was an already old piano, rebuilt in 1984 by NJ Tostevin & Son, Stoke-on-Trent. I even have the receipt for it!

I had been trying to find out more about the piano, which Mum played almost everyday of her life for the last 40 years. The piano has always been part of my life and now I, in turn, also have time to play the piano every day, I realise what a beautiful tone it still has 40 years later.

I wish I could have met you to find out more about the piano and I'm sad to find out about the relatively recent loss of Neville and then Roger.

I could not think of a better tribute to them both than to share this personal story. The piano they rebuilt has been a source of joy for 40 years non-stop and still going strong. A huge tribute to the quality of work that went in to rebuilding "my" piano.

If you would like to see a picture of it in its new home, I leave my email address:

pjzz_2000@yahoo.com

Once again, my sincere condolences.

Phil
