JohnTHOMPSONJohn Thompson passed away peacefully at home in Newcastle upon Tyne on December 30, 2024, at the age of 87. Born and raised in Newcastle, John was a proud Geordie who carried his love for his hometown throughout his life. An avid bowler when he was younger and caring Father and grandfather, known for his thoughtfulness, John never forgot a birthday or Christmas, always ensuring those around him felt remembered and cherished. In his later years, John had to give up his favorite pint of Guinness due to coeliac disease but faced this change with resilience and good humor, even developing an acceptance of gluten free beer! Hopefully he is now enjoying a pint with his Brother Bob and his Sister Anne who predeceased him. He is survived by younger Brother Bill in New Zealand and by his children, Keith and Dawn, as well as his grandchildren, John Henry, Sam and Aidan, who will forever hold dear the memories they shared with him.
