RIP John Thompson , the best teacher and also a close Friend.
You had the great skill in teaching of engaging pupils to get the best out of them. You certainly helped myself to succeed.
We also spent many years supervising the D of E Award scheme together spending a lot of time in the Peaks, Snowdonia and the Lakes , helping candidates achieve their goals ( including myself). I re-call one time in the early eighties watching a Leeds FA Cup Semifinal in the back of the school mini bus with the help of an aerial and mobile TV !!
Thanks for all the memories and best wishes to all Your Family
