AnnaTHOMPSON(née Forsyth) (formerly of Madeley, near Crewe, Cheshire)

It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Anna (Annie) Thompson née Forsyth, of Port William, Dumfries and Galloway, on Sunday 1st October 2023 at Galloway Community Hospital, Stranraer, aged 79 years.

The beloved Wife of Alan and wonderful Mother to Ian, Gillie and Philip. Treasured Grandma/Granny and proud Great Grandma.

Anna was a beautiful lady affectionally known as the Duchess and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace.

Funeral Service to which all friends are respectfully invited, at Mochrum Kirk, on Monday 16th October 2023, at 11 a.m. Thereafter to Roucan Loch Crematorium, by Dumfries, for 2 p.m.

Family flowers only please, donations if desired to the Order of St John on retiral from service in loving memory of Anna, thank you.

Sad day to hear of your passing family friend and like an aunt to me over the years, many many happy memories of holidays as kids sharing sleeping bag with your Phil as no beds to go round , fun and laughter on the sand dunes , you will be sadly missed dear Anna xx
