Aled was a school friend in Tyderwen, Maesteg, then in Ysgol Llanhari.
Growing up, we spent time at each others houses having fun.
I have fond memories of our time together.
My sincere sympathies are with Aled's family.

Aled was a great Neighbour/friend and a private person that kept himself to himself. We enjoyed our chats about his travels and his love of his cats, we will never forget his cat named Mr Jones who would eagerly await Aled to return home after his working day and would often see him running way too close to the tyres of Aled's car, I watched with anxiety for many years but Mr Jones always got away without any injuries. We loved Aled's chats and will miss him. Loved him telling us of of his journeys and his Map on his spare bedroom wall marking all the places he had visited. We will miss his Christmas cards that would contain humour. We always knew when Aled was leaving for work in the morning and returning home after a days work, you could set your time to it. We will miss you Aled, forever in our hearts xxxx

Aled was a very good friend, growing up in Maesteg. We spent quite some time getting up to a little mischief.
I am sorry to hear of his passing. Condolences to Aled's family, from the Slaney's in Vancouver.
