Judith EllenTAYLORDied suddenly in Chester, England on February 28, 2025, and entered her heavenly home because of her faith in Jesus Christ.
Judy was born in Braddock, PA, USA on April 11, 1940. She grew up in Williamsville, NY attending Williamsville schools and graduated in 1958. She continued her education at Denison University in Granville, OH graduating in1962 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology, and in 1970 with a Master of Science degree in Education from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. She then began a lifelong dedication to the education of youth, first in the Williamsville school district and then for many years at St Mary's School for the Deaf in Buffalo, NY. Judy also spent many summers working at Cradle Beach in Angola, NY, a camp on Lake Erie for children with special needs.
Judy married Patrick Taylor in Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada on May 29, 2009. Six months later she began a great adventure as she, Patrick and her dog, Sadie, moved to Chester, England. Judy and Patrick enjoyed traveling throughout the US, UK and elsewhere in Europe. She also enjoyed singing with vocal choral groups and signing in deaf choirs in the US and UK. Through this, Judy had an especially memorable experience performing with her deaf choir for Queen Elizabeth II. Judy was happiest spending time with her eight grandchildren in the UK and two nephews in the US. She also especially enjoyed border collies as well as her current dog, Jenny, a poodle/lab.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Taylor, her parents, Harold and Winnie Embree and her infant sister, Karen Ann. She is survived in the US by her brother, John (Jeanne) Embree and nephews, Jeffrey (Emily Carey) Embree and James Embree. Surviving her in the UK are stepsons, Wayne (Modestie Hochart) Taylor, Mark (Sarah) Taylor and Alan (Ruth) Taylor and grandchildren (James, Edward, Austin, Moses, Micah, Miri, Gabriel and Mathys). Judy will be dearly missed by all she touched over the years with many shared and happy memories enduring.
A memorial service will be held on April 8 at 11:00 am at All Saints Church, Hoole Rd in Chester, England.
Judy will be interred at Williamsville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Judy's memory to Cradle Beach Camp (https://cradlebeach.org) in Angola, NY or Salvation Army International Headquarters (https://www.salvationarmy.org.uk) in London, England.
