DorisSTURGESSPeacefully on January 26th 2025 at the RSUH, after an illness bravely borne, Doris aged 85 years of Rookery, Kidsgrove. Former office clerk for H&R Johnson's in Tunstall.

The dearly loved Wife of the late David Sturgess, treasured Mum to Sandra and Paul. Devoted Nana and Great Nana, also dear Sister to Doreen, Ann and the late Bert Hikin.

Funeral service to take place at Carmountside Crematorium on Friday 21st February 2025 at 2pm. Will family and friends please meet at Carmountside.

Family flowers only please, donations if desired to Douglas Macmillan Hospice.

Nanna❤️

Miss you so much already.

We are so lucky to have had someone as kind & thoughtful as you in our lives.

Reunited with Grandad in Heaven, where you can play never ending bingo & win all the prizes!

So many lovely memories to cherish forever.

My lovely Mum. I can’t believe you’re no longer with us. I will miss you forever. You are always in my thoughts and will forever be in my heart.

God saw you getting tired And a cure was not to be So he put His arms around you And whispered, "Come to me."
With tearful eyes we watched you
As you slowly slipped away
And though we loved you dearly
We couldn't make you stay.
Your golden heart stopped beating
Your tired hands put to rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.
