The wife and family of the late Andrew Strain would like to express their heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported and sympathised during our recent sad loss. We are, and will always be grateful to all of our relatives, friends and neighbours for their help and kindness during this difficult time. A sincere word of thanks to all who attended the wake, funeral mass and burial. For those who telephoned, travelled long distances, sent messages of condolences, floral tributes, Mass and sympathy cards, as well as those who made charitable donations to Mary's Meals, we are truly grateful. A special word of thanks to Fr Dominic Quinn of St. Leonard's Church, for the beautiful funeral mass and the pastoral care and support he provided: Fr Rafal Sobieszuk of St. Bride's Church, who came to the house; Claire Bonner and Michael Sweeney for the singing and music; the management and staff at the Burnside Hotel for the food and refreshments served after the funeral; and finally, Heritage Funeral Services, for the professional and dignified manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements. Lastly, to those who helped us in any way, too many to mention by name, please accept this public acknowledgement as a token of our deepest thanks and gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions. Andrew was a much loved husband, father, father-in-law, grampa, brother, uncle, neighbour and friend and will be sorely missed by all who knew him. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
