ANN
Ann was our classmate
Ann was our friend,
The warmth in our hearts
For our Ann will never end.

From the smile on her lips
To the smile in her eyes,
To her cheerful laugh
To each and every surprise.

From the tales she would tell us
From things in her life
From being a proud grandmother,
A mother and beautiful wife.

From her tales of her travels
From home and away,
And all in Italian
In her own perfect way.

Ann passed her GCSE Italian,
Which was no easy feat,
And each of her homework diaries,
To us were such a treat.

Since the Covid our class has been on zoom
We are all going to miss her not entering the room.
Ann not joining us again for meal,
For us all it's going to be quite an ordeal

We are so much richer for her friendship of gold,
Treasure the memories of her as they unfold.
Ann was a one off, she was one of the best.
God speed to you Ann as in peace you now rest.

Che la terra ti sia lieve. 🙏
which means that Ann no longer bears the weight of this earth and has passed to a place where there is eternal light.🙏

So sorry to hear the sad news about Ann. Happy memories of when we worked in the Housing Department in Orchard Street together. She was always so kind and always stayed the same smiling and laughing whenever we bumped into each other over the years. Deepest sympathy to Graham and all the family.

In memory of Ann and her beloved cats, Merlin and Bailey. Dearest Ann, you will be missed in Italian class - you were always so delighted when my cats joined our online lessons. I will never forget how supportive you were whenever I was facing difficulties at work. I’ll miss sitting next to you, my fellow vegetarian, at our meals out. Lisa xxx
