I always looked forward to this time of year Auntie Stella. Christmas and New Year time always meant we would get to see you and an uncle Maurice. I treasured those moments with you both and hold them very close to my heart. I recall vividly, the anticipation and excitement of seeing what far flung destinations that years thimble and teaspoon would be from. I miss bringing Nana down to London for the WLA remembrance service at the Cenotaph and meeting up with you and Uncle Maurice, sleeping in the Chinese room at your house, seeing what culinary enlightenment would be bestowed up me that visit! Haha! (Quail eggs and celery salt will always be my favourite! 😁)
You and Nana were the best role models a girl could have, and the lessons you taught me have stayed with me to this day. I hope you and Nana are together and at peace up there.
You are loved and missed beyond words.
