Finlay married my husband and I at Dunnottar Castle in 2005. We returned today 3 March 2025, nearly 20 years later. We remembered how beautiful Finlay's guidance about marriage was, and wanted to share our memories of him with his remaining family. He must have touched so many lives giving guidance and inspiration as they start out on their journey. I hope Finlay would be happy to see that we carry his words close to our hearts through every day of our marriage. Sending our love and thanks.

I met Reverend Finlay Squires in September 2001 at Ardoe House , Aberdeen .It was there where he performed our marriage . An outstanding minster filled with faith . His words still echoe in my mind so full of love , wisdom and spiritual insight . It is with much sadness to hear of his passing. Finlay left an enormous affect upon me . His beauty, humbleness, kindness oozed from every word . We were truly blessed to have such a dedicated minister . Interestingly his wedding sermon to us was to be so prophetic to our lives .It was like Our Lord was talking. I shall never forget our beautiful minister and I promise that one day in the future I shall our honour you Reverend by visiting your place of rest . Thank you Finlay for the most beautiful of marriage ceremony’s .You we’re a true light to all who’s path you crossed . Now as Our Lord has called you home you can begin your new life .Thank you for a day I shall never forget.
