MichaelSOUTHERNof Woodlands Road, Edenfield, died on Monday, December 9 at Royal Blackburn Hospital, aged 70. He leaves two children, Carl and Amanda, and four grandchildren, Bethany, Ella, Alesha and Cory. Mick, as he was known, worked for Porritts in Stubbins before starting 'A Splash of Colour' decorating business and then taking early retirement to care for his beloved wife Joan. In his younger years he played in the Haslingden and Ramsbottom Leagues for bowling and pool and was a lifetime supporter of Liverpool Football Club. The funeral took place on Friday, December 20, with a service and cremation at Accrington Crematorium at 10.20am, officiated by Neil Overton.
