Celebrating Elouise's birthday without you was hard, I kept expecting you to call and say when you would be popping by. I bought the maltesers for you :)
Meg is doing great, you should see her chasing around her new garden. I hope you are happy with who we chose to look after her.

Grandad,
Its my birthday today and while I've had so much fun, I miss the years where you'd call me at the break of dawn to sing me 'Happy Birthday' and then come by with presents later on in the day. This birthday is a special one but there is always a part of me that is going to wish that youd see my next birthday and the next. I'm grateful for the birthdays we have shared together and I just know that you were singing to me this morning as always.
I'm doing well, so are mum and dad. We all miss you so much, I certainly miss you calling for random reasons and me calling you to rant about pointless stuff.

Still waiting for you to call me and then we have an argument that I could have called you. We had that argument so many times! I would give anything to let you win that argument and hear your voice again.

Bruce, I wanted to let you know that Meg is doing well, she has been on many adventures and loves having zoomies around the garden. She misses her dad, we all do. Life is very strange. I miss hearing you wind David up on a weekend with your many phone calls about football. Miss you millions xxxx

We laid you to rest today where you wanted to be. I hope we did you proud?.
I am so very sad, I miss you more than I ever thought I would. My heart is broken and I know there's no way to repair it.
You were my Dad and my best friend and I hope you know that I loved you with all my heart, I just wish I had said it.
Smiff you did a great job of being my Dad, thank you so much for everything. Sleep peacefully Old Faithful pal of mine xxx

To Bruce,
You were an amazing man who cared so much for those around you. I was just some girl who knew your granddaughter and had become her sister. You treated me like a granddaughter and I have always thought of you as my grandad as well. You always made sure I was doing alright whenever I was on the phone with Elouise when she was visiting you. I never got to meet my Nanno and I don't remember my Nonno so you were the closest thing I ever had to a grandfather and I thank you for allowing me to finally see what it's like to have a grandad. Bruce, from the bottom of my heart I thank you for giving me that blessing. You let me see and feel what it's like to have such an amazing man care about you so deeply without even meeting them in person. Rest in peace, England's national treasure.
