I first met Lorraine when we started school at Corpus Christi in Gateshead from the age of 5 we went through infant, junior, and senior school together, we attended a years secretarial course at Gateshead college we attended each others weddings in 1972 and kept in touch. I went on to have 3 children and we drifted apart for a while. But Lorraine contacted me after a few years and we kept in touch by telephone telling each other about our lives. I attended Bob’s funeral and it was lovely to see her again. She again kept in touch by telephone when we chatted and put the world right. I was so happy to be able to see her when she was admitted into hospital we laughed and cried together talking of old times schools and our lives. She was a wonderful friend throughout our school years and I’ll miss our chats. Sending love to her family. Deepest sympathy from Elaine and Joe xx
