Dear Ursula, I found this notice purely by chance and I was so sorry to read this news even though we lost contact years ago, I remember all the times we got together when our children were small and what a lovely man Simon was. If you read this and you feel you would like to reconnect please telephone/text me on 07763023019 Julie(from Bristol)

So sad to hear this news. Although we had missed Simon out and about recently, we only realised today that he has passed. Our condolences to Ursula , the family and Simon's many friends. Colin and Kathleen

Simon always gave time to stop, listen and be enthused with whatever conversations were available with his many visits to Farnborough. He was also never short of some very funny stories to share. It is incredibly sad to hear our HRG friend having their life cut so short. The Smith family should be very proud Simon had such a positive impact on so many of us.

I was so very sorry to hear that Simon had passed away. I had not seen him since we attended Bev’s funeral and did not even know he was unwell. I have some very funny memories of Simon from the days we all worked in the IBM travel office together, he was definitely a character and I always felt he should have been a writer or been on stage. He was a kind and caring soul - RIP Simon - when Sue and I next meet we will raise a glass or two to you and swap our memories and recall the laughter you brought to our lives. Sandra
