We had the pleasure of knowing Bob for 53 years, the first time Eric saw Bob he was riding a BSA Bantam with a red beanie hat on his head and a leather jacket in the style of Stephen Stills and what great times we had in Woolacombe from then on, Bob will always be fondly remembered by us both and sadly missed ,Eric and Judy xx

Such sad news, we have many happy memories of spending time with Bob and Kay. The first time we met was in their flat in Cheetham Hill, Manchester, 50 years ago, and we knew straight away it was going to be a great friendship.
It was the first time I had tasted "home brew", I can still feel the hangover!
We can only reiterate comments from others. He was passionate about his football, tolerated me as a Man Utd fan, and always had a smile on his face.
"Shine on you crazy diamond" is perfect.
