Barbara was a great friend of my Mum, Maureen Davies ( who sadly died last August) They met whilst going to the cinema nearly 20 years ago and became firm friends. Along with Betty Grima, the 3 of them had many adventures together. I have been trying to get hold of Courtney since we found out about his Mum (he doesn't have our contact details) to find out funeral arrangements. I have just found out as I'm typing this that the funeral is taking place right now. I'm so so sorry as we really wanted to be there.....but I'm thinking of Barbara now during what would be her service. She was such a lovely, friendly, caring and thoughtful person, who meant a lot to my Mum and me. Her family meant everything to her and I know you all felt the same about her. Even though it will be very tough for you all, I hope the lifetime of happy memories you have of your Mum and Nan will help to bring you some comfort in the weeks and months to come. Thinking of you.
