AgnesROONEY(Wirksworth)
Mrs Agnes Rooney of Waltham House, Wirksworth has passed away at home on 14th March 2025 aged 91 years.
Born in Callow, near Wirksworth, Agnes lived locally all her life. During her working life, Agnes was a comptometer for British Rail and a teacher and adventurer.
Predeceased by her husband Jim, Agnes leaves her children Jamie (Jim), Eileen, Maura and Dermie along with 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way!
Funeral service to be held at St Mary's Church, Wirksworth on Friday 25th April 2025 at 10.30am followed by interment in Steeple Arch Cemetery, all are welcome to attend.
Family flowers only please but donations in lieu of are invited for Amnesty International and may be sent c/o
