Rodney Mark AlwynROBINSONPassed away at home on Saturday 7th December 2024, aged 86.

Despite his undeniable strength which allowed him to continue working, he had been battling ill health for quite some time but is now peacefully at rest.

He leaves behind his loving wife Maureen as well as an array of daughters, granddaughters and great grandchildren. In addition to being a family man, Rodney was a well respected, local businessman, who hailed from Bewholme but resided in Hornsea for many years, whilst running a successful and continuing builders merchants at Catfoss.

A keen sportsman with a deep interest in aviation, Rodney was also well known for the unmeasurable amount of time, effort and knowledge he dedicated to local teams and associations, even becoming a published author into his eighties.

A kind, funny and honourable gentleman, he will be missed by many.

Please note there will be no funeral as per Rodney's wishes, but the family do plan to arrange a commemorative event for him sometime in the near future.
