What can I say? Unbelievably sad news for so many. Our deepest condolences go out to Olwyn, Amerah and indeed all the family!!
A true and valuable friend of mine for 45 years. Starting in West Mon with him pulling apart my treasured TISWAS calculator 'just to see how calculators work !" skiving off school for a beer and testing out Dai Rat on our return, just a little bit tipsy! Him getting into a bit of trouble with my old man ( police inspector ) but talking his way out of it a/ because he was good at that but b/ because he had some experience with these sorts of things! him working behind the bar at the horse and jockey and giving us the odd free drink! Nights out in Usk, holiday in Torquay , rugby and more rugby ! living together in Dogfield Street as students, then as slightly more mature adults with our partners, as neighbours, down the Bay (mervinian close) I got married,Neil had the wonderful Amerah. As a three year old she was our bridesmaid ( the cutest ever) a daughter I know he was deeply proud of. Stephanie and I moved to Australia, but on every return to Wales he dropped everything to ensure he always caught up with us! Indeed on a solo return last month we caught up and had a mini school reunion with Nige Carl and Matthew. It turned out to be our last time together - what a great way for me to remember him by - and he paid for everything! Typical Flobsy! Boy I am so sad and will miss you so much such a great shame we can't be there
