Rocko Richards the man, the Myth, the Legend. You are the second dad that guided me as a young boy and gave me memorable advice, guidance and support through my life and I will always remember your strength and wisdom as I grew up. Uncle John my 3 time Neighbour as we loved you so much, you will be missed in the Hall household forever. You truly are a remarkable man and will be sadly missed by us all. Loving memories of all the great places you took us including Italy skiing and you always had a caring but firm nature to guide us. Remembered forever and we know you'll be there when we arrive to Squeeze our earlobes.
Heaven will have a great time on the trampoline now.
Good night Uncle John xxx.

I was luck enough to do my 12 week teaching practice at Llanrumney High School in 1984\5 as a student at Cyncoed with John Rich and John Benj. They made a lasting impression on me and my colleague Jeremy Evans. They brought boys over to Malmesbury School for rugby at my first job in Wiltshire and we came to Llanrumney for baseball. I was Head of the PE Faculty for 30 years at Sheldon School in Chippenham and until my retirement 4 years ago was still using lessons I learned from Llanrumney under the two John's. An inspirational man. Sleep easy John your star shines bright. Adam Douglas.

Unfortunately I’m abroad for John’s funeral but please pass on my condolences, I was lucky enough to go skiing with John as a schoolboy and later met again through rugby
John was a gent and a proper games master and sportsman ❤️

Through out life certain people have a profound positive effect on individuals, John was certainly one of those people. His positivity and encouragement not only formed but transformed young lives.
