John William FrancisREIDPassed away peacefully aged 84 at home with all his loving family. Beloved husband of Mary, much loved Dad and loving Grandad to all his Grandchildren and Great- Grandchildren.
Funeral to be held on Thursday 23rd January 2025 at 10.45am in St Peter and Paul's Church, Crosby followed by interment at Thornton Garden of Rest. All friends and family welcome back to the Northern Cricket Club, Crosby, L23 1TP. John will be resting at home From Tuesday 21st January.
Of all the special gifts in life however great or small, to have you as our Grandad was the greatest gift of all. May the winds blow softly and whisper in your ear , "We love you Grandad and wish you were here" Forever in our hearts Grandad, Love your heartbroken Granddaughter Sophie, James, Aria, Ade & Abel x x x
Dad, The day you left and gained your wings, my heart broke in two, I wish you could have stayed with me but heaven needed you. You left me with the memories and I love you dearly still. John, although you sleep in heaven now you're not that far away. My heart is full of memories and you're with me everyday. You lived your life with meaning and a smile upon your face. A world that was full of happiness is now an empty place. People say that only time can heal a broken heart but just like me and you, it has been torn apart. Grandad, We miss you so much already and it's hard to say goodbye, but all the guidance and wisdom you shared with me will never leave my side. I'm glad you got to see me grow and I hope you know you played your part, even though you're resting now, you'll forever be in my heart. Win, lose or draw your words have always stayed and it's only right as heaven's gates open you know how big a game they played. "Son, football -It's a funny old game!"
