DavidREEKIEWe've lost a local legend - David Reekie. David passed away peacefully at The Ferns Care Home, North Shields on 28th July 2023. David was well known in pubs, cafes and communities especially in North Shields and Whitley Bay. He was a thoughtful, confident man who was passionate about transport, particularly buses and cars. David lived life his way, he loved his independence and his freedom and managed to live life on his terms to the last. Funeral to be held at Tynemouth Crematorium at 12 noon on Wednesday 16th August. Followed by drinks and memories at The Sportsman Pub Preston, North Shields. No flowers, but donations for Preston Grange Community Centre would be appreciated. David will be missed by friends, supporters at New Prospect Association and anyone who bumped into him on his travels.
