Grace MacfarlaneRAEPeacefully, at Catmoor Care Home, Scone, on Sunday 1st January, 2023, aged 99, Grace Macfarlane Rae (nee Kiddie). Dearly loved wife of the late Jim, mother of Lesley, mother-in-law of Colin, grandmother of Helen and Fiona and great-grandmother of Edith, Wilfred and Andy. Funeral service at Perth Crematorium on Tuesday, 17th January at 12.30 p.m. Family flowers only, please, but donations may be given on leaving the crematorium for Christian Aid.

Sincere condolences to Lesley, Colin and family. Gracie Kiddie was born the same year as my late mother Freda Currie (neé Robbie) and they were good friends since early childhood, through their teens and into adulthood. They’d both have been 100 this year. I have fond memories of occasional visits from and to Gracie and Jim. Gracie very kindly lent Dad a very good magnifying glass after Mum died in 1990 as his sight was failing. The the last time I saw her was when I returned it following my Dad’s (Don) funeral in 1992.

I was very sad that I was unable to attend the funeral due to icy roads. We now live in Glenfarg.
