ItaPRIESTLEYOf Mercer Crescent, Helmshore, passed away on April 11 at the Royal Blackburn Hospital, aged 65 years. Ita was a nurse (retired) at Burnley General Hospital, formerly Rossendale Hospital. Ita enjoyed gardening, her allotment, jigsaws, volunteering for Rossendale Hospice and talking newspapers. Wife to Mick and mother to sons Christopher and James. A service will be held on Friday, May 3 at Burnley Crematorium at 12.15pm, conducted by Neil Overton. No flowers, donations to Rossendale Hospice. Ita will be missed by her son Christopher and his wife Kirsty, her son James and his wife Sarah, her grandchildren and her siblings Ursula, Teresa, Mel, Nicholas and Richard and husband Mick. Hi Ita, you would have loved the raffle at Slimming World and raising funds for Rossendale Hospice. No doubt you would have been counting it!! We smashed our £100 target as well.
We all miss you more than we can put into words. A beautiful lady inside and out even if you did lark about…

Ita, a very special lady, kind, generous and so funny. So many happy memories, so many stories I could tell. I will just say here, we were very lucky to have you as a friend. We will miss you and we won't forget you. Rest peacefully.

Ita, my dear friend for over 30 years. So many happy and funny memories I have with you. We would laugh on our weekends away because we would find you talking to anyone and everyone. So caring about others. You were a very special person Ita. Rest peacefully xx
