DavidPOWELLFormer footballer for Cardiff City, Sheffield United, Wrexham & also Welsh international player. On retiring he joined South Wales Police & served for almost 18 years. He passed away peacefully aged 79 on 4-12-23. Much loved husband of Barbara, loving father of Darren & Nina, adored grandfather of Toby, William & Mikey.

Funeral service on Thursday 21st December, 11.30am at Swansea Crematorium, Morriston. Family flowers only; donations in lieu to British Heart Foundation or Guide Dogs for the Blind. c/o John Edward's Funeral Directors, 5 Cwmbath Road, Morriston, Swansea, SA6 7AH. (01792 771232)

My sincere condolences to Barbara, Nina and Darren. I will keep Dave in my memory as a lovely, caring and very gentle person. I will never forget the kindness of him and the whole Powell family during my stay with them in 1989. I still have the silver police button Dave gave me as a farewell present.
